I think alone it would be very gothy but what I do is have like a gold or silver accent nail possibly with some glitter and it's absolutely perfect!!!

I like it on long nails, I think it looks pretty gimmicky and teen age angsty on short nails. I personally only like it on long feminine fingers with longer, perfectly shaped nails. Once it's chipped it looks terrible too. If the polish is cheap looking, it also ruins it. A nice quality black polish is a must and a perfect matte or high-shine top coat to make it flawless is nice
