it really depends on if you're using different brands of the hair dye or perhaps the same one. when i first dyed my hair *oh the agony lol*, i had a change of mind about the colour and added another shade of red dye on top of the wet hair dye but since it was the same brand of hair dye, it turned out all right.

But i'm not too sure if it'll be the same for you.
Personally i don't think it's bad for you but the colour you might end up with might be something you hadn't expected or something like that. haha anyway good luck :) x

Different brands are formulated differently, & their developers are the same. It's like alcohol-vodka is good, & so is tequila, but they are NOT good together. It can also be dangerous to mix different brands together, since you don't necessarily know what chemicals are in each & if they are combustible or not when mixed together. Now, if you're mixing, say, the same brand's colors together, that's generally fine as long as they're the same type of dye-like with like. If you want, say, a dark intense red-violet, you can mix a dark, dark brown or black with a brighter, lighter red-violet to get the tones you want. Of course, you have to measure the color & developer properly, with correct amounts.
