I know I may be late on the Ombre hair trend but I love the way this hair looks! I have been debating whether to try it or not, only because I usually style my hair with my natural hair texture which is curly/wavy and I don't know if it would actually look good in natural curls. Should I or shouldn't I?

Ugh I'm on the same page with you! My hair was black for years up until I tried to strip the color. Which resulted in it turning orange, me dying it red, and being left with this weird strawberry red/blonde mop on my head. I'm stuck between trying to go completely blonde or going brown to blonde ombre. I found this picture of Shanae Grimes with wavy ombre hair and I reaaaaaaaallly love/want it!

I think that it can work if it's really faint, but I personally don't like it. It's just sort of like fancy roots to me. Sorry.

I personally don't like the "Ombre" hair trend at all, it looks good on very few people. This one girl at my school has it and honestly, it looks hideous. But that's just my personal opinion!

I love the Ombre hair style if it's done right. A fun way to try it out is the Lauren Conrad chalking. Its a simple temporary wash out and lets you have fun with wild colors if you want to get crazy with color. http://thebeautydepartment.com/2012/01/chalk-it-up/

I think it can be pretty cute! I like it a lot actually. I especially like it when it's a bit subtle, like with light brown/blonde hair.

Personally, I think Ombre looks better in curly/wavy hair than straight. I had a blue Ombre and didn't look as good when I straightened my hair.

I think this is really pretty! Esp on curly/wavy hair. I don't know how good it'd look on straight hair cause I think the graduation would look too harsh rather than blended in the waves

Thanks everyone! I think its something I will do for this upcoming summer. I'm glad most of you thought it'd be great on textured hair especially since I need a low maintenance hair style.

I love the ombre trend, however I'm biased since my hair is dark brown to purple ombre... I thinks it looks great on curly, wavy hair.

To be honest I have naturally ombre hair (light blonde with dark blonde roots) - I adore it when it's curled and wavy but straight it just looks lazy.
Being at the end of it's run seasonally I wouldn't invest too much time/money into it unless you're going with the pastel/chalked look.
Winter is coming up and there's going to be some hot new hairstyles to try anyway =)

oh my i've been thinking of doing ombre for the longest time. i agree with everyone else on how it looks great on wavy hair. definitely do it for the summer! it would look gorgeous :)

I love the ombre. However it is very easy to have someone do it wrong. A lot of people do not know how to do it right. I say if you like it, go for it.

I've just done my sister's hair a few days ago, in the Ombre style. We were both a bit scared at first! But to our surprise, it turned out shockingly well. We mostly followed online tutorials (and made a few bits up!) she has naturally curly hair, but has been using straighteners recently, and the look lends itself to both styles. She's just bought some purple shampoo to take out the brassy tones (as her hair was dark brown to begin with) but overall its worked out well, and soo many people think it looks great. So go for it I'd say, you can always dye over/cut out/grow out if things don't work out  =)

i have coarse curly hair and ive done this technique on myself its very pretty especially when you wear it curly and even straight.. you would tease your end and put the lightner on wherever you have teased you hair and let it sit for 30 min or until desired color
