So I don't think I've ever tanned in my life. I almost always burn, or else my skin just gets really chapped. I'm wondering if I should use tanning lotion? Obviously, it's not tanning season yet, but I'm wondering when the time comes...? Or if I should just use the tanning lotion that makes you look tan, not the tanning oil stuff that literally bakes you. I've heard good stuff about the jergens natural glow or whatever... But i've been hesitant to get a "fake tan" because it might turn out real bad or streaky or really fake looking. I think a tan will also help my legs because I have really huge leg hair follicles, and it looks really weird. Once the weather starts warming up I'm going to get my legs waxed, because apparently that helps shrink the follicles? I don't know. But whatever input I can get from you guys would be great! Thanks!!! :D <3 Amanda

St. Tropez Body Moisturizer. It gradually tans your skin in a subtle and glow-y way. If you want to look more darker follow onto with the St. Tropez Bronzing Mousse. Looks dark at first but its actually intended to be worn for a minimum of 4 hours and then you rinse off your skin and that colour that shows after is the actual look.

Oy... That's expensive!!! O.O Any cheaper options? hehe

The Sephora self-tanner in the aerosol spray can and not the oil mist is actually pretty good. It could get dark when used frequently so try first on body to see if you like the colour before applying onto the face. I know a few people who use it and I tried it two times and it actually was not bad considering its price! Only difference: application needs to be more precise because your not rubbing like cream your spraying. And second: If you have drier skin sprays don't work as good as a cream would because the texture of it would actually help moisturize your skin which definitely helps make the tan look more natural and glow-y.

Well, I mean, I just can't justify spending thirty or forty dollars on tanning spray/lotion. I need a cheap recommendation, like below twenty dollars, because I seriously can't afford that much... And I'm wondering whether to use oil or lotion, just for the sake of saving my skin. Like, read the description. >.< lol

The sephora one is like $15 dollars, thats half the price of what I originally suggested. Im trying to help not to make you break the bank. I read the description and I'm giving you a detailed reply, which I think is necessary if we're talking about your skin here. Its not a piece of clothing you can just tamper with. To be honest, I would save your money because half the stuff that is under $20 is probably filled with parabens. I'm just trying to help out :)

Sorry, I got confused because she gave me the link to the sephora website with the St. Tropez and that was expensive, and I thought that was what you were talking about, sorry. And I don't go to sephora very often, but if it's good, I'll see if I can get it. Sorry, I didn't realize you were helping. It seemed like you were reiterating yourself. But thankyou. :) And I don't want to save my money! >.< Oy, what a predicament. And I don't have sensitive skin, and I take good care of it despite using not so good stuff like parabens on it. I exfoliate with the Proactiv cleansing wash twice a week, wash my body every day, and use Curel daily moisture, every other day. hehe It's a lot, and I wouldn't do it if I felt like it was useless. I think it's mainly the leg hair follicles that I am worried about. My hair follicles are INSANELY huge!!! I wonder if tanning lotion would help them not be as noticeable? And is it safe to use tanning oil? It makes me curious, will I burn or tan? >.< Sorry for the confusion, and thankyou for your help.

Amanda, no worries hun! I think Ashley's link to the St. Tropez made the whole Sephora thing one big confusion. Hey if you wanna spend the money I say go for it try it out. I'm not super familiar with a lot of drugstore tanning lotions and what not -- in general I'd stay away from oils, they tend to burn in the sun regardless if your sensitive or not. Try sticking to a cream, I find they work better. Tanning I find does help minimize the look of follicles as well as any other markings you could potentially have on the skin.

Btw, Sounds like you have a good skincare regime going on ! Again, sorry about the confusion! Just trying to be a skincare angel and help you out :) haha.

Good luck! xox

Haha, it's all good. :) And that makes sense, that tanning oil would make you burn... I've just always wondered. And I'll check reviews on a few and see which one seems like the best bet. And it's good to know that this will help with the markings and follicles and such. :) And I do? I always worry that it's not enough... hehe Thanks so much Christina!
