Recently I've gotten quite a few requests of tutorials for some of my nail designs. I really have no idea how to film or edit video tutorials or anything besides taking pictures of my nails. I think it would be a really cool idea to start doing this and I made a youtube channel and I'm going to try to film a tutorial in a couple days. Anyone have any tips? Advice? Anything?

Just jump in! You're not gonna know what you don't know until you try it out, right? Everyone has those first couple videos that are less than fabulous, but having something to improve from definitely helped me.
Tips? Lighting is key, natural preferably. Have most of your nails done and do one or two. Remember there are friendly people who are interested in seeing what you do, and don't worry about them judging you, because they asked you to do this! Good luck! ♥♥

I've been on youtube for about 2 years now, and I've improved a lot! Heres some tips:
> Good quality Camera: nothing is more annoying than someone who has a camera that can't catch audio, or focus right.
> Lighting: I suggest to get daylight bulbs, they save you money and electricity! They are awesome if you do videos at night, and also when its a cloudy rainy day outside.
> Everyone makes mistakes: Don't get frustrated when you slip up on a subject or start to ramble, that's what editing is for! Find a nice editing software, I use AVS Editor. I started with Windows movie maker and upgraded through time.
> Stating the obvious: Instead of saying what youre going to use in the voice over to save time, pop up a small note stating what you're about to use, then you can always describe : "I'm using a black eyeshadow on my lid and blending it out", instead of I'm using a black eyeshadow from MAC called Carbon on my lid and blending it out". Doesn't that save time?:)
Be you: That is your number one most important thing to make videos! Expressing who you are makes you stand out in the crowd, just as it will on the internet!
Don't be afraid: Let your imagination and creativity speak for itself! I didnt have a great confidence level when I started, now I'm not as shy to speak in front of the camera, even when there's people around me:)
Network: Facebook, tumblr, blogspot, twitter. These are the main channels that I like to use to help promote my beauty channel so I might get noticed. Not to be a snob, just so you can always improve!
Have Fun: Being a guru isnt about getting viewers, subscribers. It's expressing who you are and loving it.Building Viewers and subbies is just an incentive!

This is from a watchers point of view... I haven't gotten the nerve to do a tutorial yet.
Anywho:
Good lighting, obviously.
Uh, don't mumble. Sooo annoying! Why are you talking if I can't understand you?
Go step by step. Maybe I need a little extra help but it keeps me coming back.
Music. I hate it when people play music the noire time, maybe I'm the minority though.
Brands. I LOVE with people use a mix of drugstore and higher end products.
Please do a tips tutorial. Anything to make it go easier!
