Any camera that can photograph in HD. I just got a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX10 for Christmas, and it's amazing! It takes really great macro shots and they're in HD, so it's really clear, and captures all colors and detail.
I did a quick Google search and they vary between $150-300, but my fiance bought mine on Black Friday, so it's possible to get them cheaper.
My old camera was a Canon Powershot, and it took really nice photos, too, but they weren't HD (and the macro was hit or miss).

I agree with Kris, anything HD will do. If your camera has a "vivid" setting, then use that for colorful looks. Editing is also key, there's tons of free online photoshopping websites. I have the Canon ELPH100HS, and I really like it. It's really good at photographing nails.

It isn't what you use; it's how you use it, IMO. If you know how to use your camera, you can get good pictures from it. (Even from an iPhone camera.)

Theres no such thing as taking photos in "HD". Videos yes, photos no.
If you want closeups just get one with a good macro setting i guess, shelly has it right. Its not what you use but how its used.

any point and shoot with a macro setting can give you good pics. I use a Nikon s8100. I think it takes some darn good pics. It is what I use for my blog. Just play around with the settings and lighting.
