So i got this plan in the works where i'll be starting a group for young girls ages 12 and up...we will have monthly meetings (kinda like girl scouts but betta)..at these meetings they will either split up or have one big group meetin (still thinkin things thru) learn makeup tips and hair tips etc also if possible take field trips....but only thing is you have to pay a membership fee (nothing outrages tho) The fee will pay for food,supplies, and monthly kits for the girls...I need and idea of wat to call it and what else can we do besides makeup hair and fashion...

Glitz and Glam. You can have special guest speakers....such as make-up artists and fashion stylists. You can touch on subjects such as self-esteem and proper diet (healthy bodies promote healthy minds as my mom used to tell me growing up). Reach out to the alumni/undergraduate sororities in your area (Alpha Kappa Alpha, Delta Sigma Theta...just to name a few) where they can talk about having education/career goals for the future. I did this with the young ladies at my church back home and it was great. I don't know if you have a Sephora in your area but I reached out to the managers at our store and she supplied us with enough samples that got us thru the first 6 months. I hope this helps. I'm so excited for you and give you kudos for starting something like this up for the young girls. I will say this though....its not going to be easy and at times you'll want to throw in the towel but the end results are well worth it. Seeing girls grow blossom before your eyes when they see what a little lipgloss can do or seeing their excitement when they meet someone doing what they dream of doing. You go girl. Keep us updated.

Oops.... also forgot to add that even some of the make-up and skincare companies even donate products for great causes such as this. I know Philosophy donated to us....I had to write a letter explaining what we were doing. I think now you can just send them an email request. :)

wow that's a lot I never thought of thank you so much and the nearest sephora is about 30 min away so hopefully i can talk to them and other companies...i was really worried about money but this info really helped and i will surely keep you updated :)

Yes! I forgot about ELF as well. I also assisted with my daughters cleft palate clinic where we had a party for the girls and ELF donated to that event as well since we were giving the girls make-overs. And we didn't expect to hear from them but they came thru for us. I'm so excited for you. :)

im excited myself lol only thing is getting people involved ...I want the girls to have little kits but besides books,makeup and emergency kits idk wat else to put them...its just alot i want to put into this for it to be a sucess
