It has come to my attention via a writer in my writer's circle that there are individuals who are literally stealing blog posts and posting it on their blog pages. She caught wind of it by one of her blog fans alerting her to this. So I just thought to let those who have blogs to be on the lookout. It's a shame that people stoop that low to create content.

I've noticed that too with some of my fav blogs! People steal YT videos too, to make accounts to boost their numbers for revenue via Adsense or sponsorships. So sad!
That's why we should learn to use watermarks! It doesn't prevent it, but at least it protects your content!

That horrible some people now a days just don't have any respect for others. I always try to watermark my pics but when I first started a lot of my stuff didn't get watermarked because I didn't think of it. There is always Google goggles tho I've found thats been pretty helpful for others when it comes to finding out if the picture they have is there's or not. There was a makeup competition a few months back on one of the Facebook pages I follow and someone actually stole another girls work and that's how they found out it was not really hers.

I was shocked when she called me and told me about it. She said it was a straight cut and paste of something she wrote in first person. She is now looking into watermarking all her future writings. She does for pictures but now she will have to do something to protect her text as well. @Soma S.....people stealing YT videos to create create accounts to boost numbers.....that is downright FOUL. I'm a firm believer in what comes around goes around.

Yeah! My bf's little sister is taking a tech literacy class in high school right now, and they've yet to get into key commands or working with MS Office... Instead, they're focusing on Internet "ethics" regarding stealing and posting web based content. I wish they taught my generation that in school! (then again, high school comp use for me back then was Napster!) LOL!
