I need advice and tips on how to take prof looking pics like alot of users on here have.
I do not have a prof camera. I have a sony digital camera. I might be able to get a software to help, but I just need good advice.

Google the rule of thirds in photography! You can easily have a nice camera, but if you don't have a basic understanding of composition, they can have a tendency to look amateur. Photo editing software can only help so much with color correcting, cropping or lighting, but if the composition is lacking to start with, there's only so much editing software can do.
Photo editing on Picasa to get your feet wet is a good alternative to purchasing CS5 or any photoshop program equivalent.
Keep practicing and let your personality shine through! Hope that helps!
Ps: you don't need anything super fancy to take good photos! It all depends on how interested you are in photography, and I find I like my point and shoot Sony just as much as my Cannon t3i. Some days, if my camera phone doesn't hate me, it delivers just as good of results too!

Oh, and if you have a iPhone and want to practice the rule of thirds, download the "Camera+" app! It will grid out your screen so you can get a better sense of how it works! Good luck!
