you put highlight on the tops of your cheekbones, underneath your eyes. you can also apply it to the bridge of your nose, to make it seem taller. and I like to apply it to my top lip, on the cupids bow to draw attention to my mouth.

pretty much every brand makes highlight.. too faced, tarte.. even drugstore brands.

You can use a shimmery eyeshadow to test the effect if you like it. Before I purchased and actual highlighter, I used Shroom eyeshadow from MAC. It's a gorgeous highlight that go on the high points of your cheeks, the bridge down your nose and cupid's bow. After that, I purchased MAC's By Candlelight MSF... I always get compliments on it, but it's an LE item. I do want to try Benefit's Watts Up highlighter though.

I tested it with an eyeshadow first, too, I used the first two lightest shades in the 1st naked palette. now I have candlelight by too faced..it's so pretty. it came in the sweet dreams palette.
