Hey guys,
So as some of you (or maybe none of you?) know, I work as an MA at a derm office. Perks of that? The extensive knowledge of how to properly care for a variety of skin types, free dermatological services (major perk!), and last but not least, SAMPLES of all sorts of expensive crap I'd never be able to afford or would have reason to get an Rx for them otherwise. However, our Allergen rep came in with a whole bunch of goodies for us and patients to try--the most recent one is Latisse.
For those who are unaware, please, visit their website for more details: http://www.latisse.com/
What it basically is are these drops you put on a brush applicator. You then apply that as close to your top lash line as possible. After some time (approximately 2 months, they said) you are supposed to show massive improvement in length and thickness of your lashes. Clinically proven.
There are risks, so make sure to read up on them before trying.
Anyway, one 3ml bottle (tiny--the size of your thumb, if even) is approximately $120 USD. Naturally, it is not covered by any insurance so this is all out of pocket. One month = $120. Redunkuloucity if you ask me!! Thankfully, due to the perks, I get to try it out for free. I'm going to be doing a blog about my progress as I go and then at the end of the month, I'm going to see if there are any changes.
Have any of you tried this before? What do you think?

My MIL is using it and she actually had to trim her lashes because they were hitting the lenses of her glasses. She has been using it for a year and she has been very happy with the results.

I have heard good things about it but the product is just way too expensive imo. $1440 a year if you buy it every month is a lot of money for lashes.

It's ridiculous. I would NEVER pay this much money for the sake of longer lashes. Thank goodness, I have it for free, otherwise this would not even be an option. To make it stretch, I am using it every two days instead of every day. Keeping track of my progress so we shall see.

Works great but once you stop using it your lashes will resort back to the way they were over a few months. You can get the generic version for $11 a bottle at alldaychemist.com and its called Care Prost. ;)

I use it . At my spa it's buy 2 3mL for $69 each or one 5mL for $119.way cheaper It def works and it takes about 16!weeks to see the full result, not so much 8.u don't need 3 drops of the solution ,simply bc it is medicine and ur lashes won't grow any faster the more u use. I use one drop on a slander eyeliner brush and im good to go b

The best way to grow your eyelashes, this even works on eyebrows - is to put Vaseline every night before you go to bed. Apply Vaseline on top and bottom lashes, a good amount. This definitely works. While the time frame is different for everyone, it definitely works!

I have used the L'Oreal version for $13 and it is amazing. I used Lashem too, $70, and found the L'Oreal product to be better. (I reviewed the L'Oreal on here). I had to stop using it for a while because my lashes were so long they were hitting my sunglasses every time I blinked. I'm not a believer in the Vaseline technique; I do not want petroleum jelly anywhere near my eyes.

Well yes me too I am not confortable putting petroleum on my eyes. I will check the l'Oréal. I also heard that latisse care Prost... can darker your eye color (and your lid if you don't use a mascara guard / shadow Shield).

It is super rare if it darkens your eye ..didn't happen to me. And if it does it goes back to normal after using it.
