Urban Decay no doubt has one of the best luxury eyeshadow primers on the market , but honestly there has to be a decent inexpencive alternative to the $20 - $30 bottle of magic . Can you help others as well as I , decide on a cheaper yet effective primer ?

Some people will most likely disagree with me but I LOVE NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils. Yes, mainly they are used as bases, but I have not had an issue with creasing or lasting power when using it alone.

UDPP creases on me wayyy more than either of the ELF primers. I have the Essential one, which is $1, and the Mineral one which is probably like $3.. I can honestly recommend both of them. It's ridiculous to say a $1 primer holds my shadow in place, but it really does!

E.L.F primer is just as good as the UDPP, I did a test with both of them on my eyes on a full school day(risky I know) and the ELF one did just as good. And it's a dollar!

What does it do exactly? I always just put my eyeshadow right on

I don't have super oily lids so creasing has never been a problem for me, unless its a horrible shadow. I like primers to keep my shadows lasting all day and bring out the true colors of the shadows

@Christy D. : Primer just keeps your eyeshadow from fading , creaseing , and makes the shadow pop .

Hannah C. ; Me either and I do too use primers for color pay off and to keep them long lasting but I can't exactly afford the UDPP anymore lol I need options .

@Viktoriyaa I: The ELF primer is amazing, trust me I'm only in high school so I try to find as many affordable dupes of high end things such as primers and this one is amazing!

@Christy D: E.L.F is eyes lips face cosmetics, they have an online site which as a wide variety of their lines. I purchase my e.l.f from Target though, most Targets hold e.l.f and they have their Studio line which is 3 dollars and their essential lines which is a dollar. The primer is from their dollar line!

I love NXY Jumbo Pencils & Revlon Creme Shadows

@Joyce S : Do they crease ? The Revlon Creme shadows , cause I've been looking for some cream shadows that won't crease on me ( even with primer ) and have yet to find any :'(
@Hannah C. : Thank you for the alternative lol . Now I know where to go when my UDPP runs out :D

I have oily lids, and the creme shadows work pretty decent for 5 hours. They don't add extra kick like the UDPP, which is a pity. I'm actually considering to get MAC Rubenesque. Have you tried MAC Paint Pots? I've heard good stuff using them as primers for up to 12 prolong wear. At the moment I only have Coral Crepe.

@Joyce S.: No , I havn't tried the Paint Pots yet , I've been cuorious but I havn't had the money or time to go to a MAC store or order online :'( , but I will deffinatly give it a shot next chance I get lol . Oh, thats not so bad for cremem shadows .

I tried the Palladio and its pretty good but the one that I love and its like $8-$10 is the VS Primer. I like it more than Benefit's, UD, and Mac's Paint Pot.

Viktoriyaa I.
@Abnormal A. : Really ? I've tried to avoid E.L.F products as much as I can because all my past expirences with them haven't exactly been joyful lol . I guess I have to go and check them out now !
@Mayra S. : Where could you get the Palladio primer ? VS has a primer ? lol Guess you learn something new everyday .

After I've run out of my UDPP, I will be repurchasing this because it's only $7.00!
And it works just as well. <3

@Viktoriyaa I.: You can get Palladio cosmetics at Sally's Beauty Supply or at Ulta. Yes! lol I went to VS and when I saw it I decided to give it a try... and I loved it. I have the UD Primer Potion, MAC Paint Pot, Benefit Stay Dont Stray and I have to say that I prefer the VS Primer.

My favorite eye shadow primer is Lorac Behind the Scenes but it runs about $20, so a great alternative in a tube is Sephora collection eye primer.
