I'll admit it to you. I don't know when an eyeshadow/lipstick/stuff is cool and I don't know when it's warm. Something in the back of my head tells me I should know these things because I have a YouTube channel, haahah. Of course, I'm not professional, but still.
I just get jealous and feel so silly when people can go "THIS IS A WARM/COOL EYESHADOW and yada yada yada" and know the differences. I can't! I tried Googling but nothing's helping.
Any tips? Please and thank you!

Warm tones have more of a "warm" look, while cool tones "look" cool.
If you're talking about lipsticks, a pink with a blue base would be considered cool toned... but one with more of an orangey base is considered warm. For example, if you swatch them next to each other you should be able to see the difference.
For eye shadow, a blue color would be considered cool, but a yellow is considered warm. However, different shades of color can be both cool or warm.
A brown can be considered cool if it is more taupey.. a brown would be considered warm when it's more orangey. It's really really hard to explain. Makeupgeek has a video about cool and warm colors that probably explains 500x better than i ever could! lol
