Get a 99 cent bag of cloves (whole) the ones that look like nails and you put in ham..we take a few and smash them until they become alittle dust like..take an empty tea bag and put the clove dust inside the empty tea bag fold up and wet alittle with water..place it where your tooth hurts and instant DIY Novocaine..takes about 10 minutes to take effect *downfall you have to spit alot of the saliva out lol but other then that works for years ;)

Got to say love just soaking a cotton ball in vanilla extract. The alcohol numbs the area temporarily (enough to fall asleep) and it doesn't taste bad at all. :)
