Tight lining is an amazing trick to make lashes appear thicker and fuller. Makeup forever and Nars liners work great. Laura Mercier also makes one specifically for tight lining.

I only do it on my top line, although it doesn't stay. I have super dry eyes that get really watery and then get dry so half my make up is gone by the end of the day -_-

What kind of brushes do you use for tightlining ? Them all seem too flexible. I am looking for a thin eyeliner brush with really short and hard hair.

I only tight line my top lash line if I'm going to a special event and wearing eyeliner to make it look fuller , I don't do it often because it can irritate you're eyes and that has happened to me when I tight lined! Sometimes tight lining the whole eye will make the eye look smaller and preferably I like the bigger eye look!

I need to watch more videos on tightlining. I wear contacts and I put them on before I do makeup so I can see. I feel like I'm poking my eye when I try it. I guess I need practice lol

Do any of you have any problems with tightline-ing and it smudging on your contacts? It always seem to smudge onto my contacts when I use any liner. Do you guys have any suggestions? (: I've tried using the UD liner, Milani liners, Wet 'n Wild, NYC, Avon, Stila, Tarte and they all seem to smudge. :\

I used to do it when I was young (11-17) but it makes eyes look smaller. I will do it occasionally but only a few times a year.

I do! I have pretty hooded eyes and sometimes using eyeliner above my lashes will cause it to be the only thing seen, wasting my effort of applying eyeshadow.
