when I had my senior pics done we were sent by the school to a studio to have them done.
As for makeup, I would go do something light, fresh faced. I'd go for a neutral look. your going to want to look back later in life and think to your self dam I looked good not what was I thinking with all that makeup.

At my high school we all went to the same studio and did cap and gown pics and then posed in front of different back drops. Like there was a barn one, and one against a fence, and stuff like that.
Makeup and hair, try to keep it as natural as possible! :) Or as YOU as possible. Just do your normal getting ready process

I am getting mine done by a local photographer in the fall. I like the Idea of being natural, I will be changing outfits as well so my makeup will match all of my outfits if I stick with natural. I like the wavy hair idea to. Thanks you guys!

Don't do a too dramatic look, i did a neutral brown smokey eye (i have a video on my youtube of it) and just straight hair. If you hair doesnt tend to hold a curl deff. dont curl it. Kinda stick with what you know will look good and STAY good!

I agree with Ashley, Nikki, and Erica. Keep it simple.
When I was a high school senior, senior pictures were used for our yearbook and, of course, to give to friends and family. IMO, you don't want to look through your yearbook in ten years or so and wonder what you were thinking. For mine, I just wore black pencil eyeliner, a little mascara (I think?), and blush. (Although I had a lippie with me, I never applied it.)

I did my hair as usual. My hair wasn't and still isn't something thats a fad. I just did a wash of color on the lid and a cat eye with red lips. I did red lips because it would still depict who I was at the time and since red is classic in my opinion I won't look back and think "my god red lipstick!!?? What was wrong with me!" Well at least I hope not. My sister did my face makeup as I did not wear any face makeup at all at that time. I was not comfortable with the amount of blush and illuminizer on my face but it came out just right on the photos. My ultimate advice is show up as 'yourself' without it being something you'll look back on and cringe.
