While I agree with the sentiment, I don't believe in sugarcoating the harsh truth, either. I think a person (I do NOT limit this to women, by the way, nor do I limit it to rich people) can be blunt if they need to be, and still give a damn about other people. Sometimes you *have* to adopt that attitude to get through to someone.

I also agree not to sugarcoat the harsh truth. I'm also blunt, however I don't use that as an excuse to be rude to people. I do NOT limit this to women or rich people. However, the post is about rich women as this was the issue I ran into this week. So I based this post on my experience. Obviously there are rude people everywhere. Also, I'm talking about people looking down on others or judging them. Example: A female boss telling her employee to wear her hair straight because she hates her curly hair. Or, A female boss telling a female employee that she won't get anywhere in life because she is a single mom. I wouldnt consider these things as "harsh truth"

My first comment was my post, yes. And it was intended that way. This sure is an awesome community! With such amazing, kind, wondeful, pleasant people! :-) Have a beautiful day, sir.

Let's all try to keep this a supportive place.. We get nit-picked at, and have to deal with trolls everywhere else....Why drag that here? = )
But I definitely liked your post Mercedes, it shines a light on an otherwise obscure topic.

LOL!! If I don't like a topic or title.. I just skip the post and move on rather than try to be a super moderator and tell folks how, when, and where to post in a rather rude manner.
ANYWAY.. Mercedes, interesting post. I agree that SOME people do take being wealthy and powerful to the head, but not all. I've also seen it go the other way when a person who is not so wealthy automatically assumes that a well off person is rude or snotty without even speaking to them once.

I agree! Was just talking about that on twitter. I have 3 very close friends who are very well off and have amazing careers and they have the kindest heart!!!! It was just a post on a certain situation :-)

I hope what I said didn't come off too bossy! = p
This is just honestly one of the few places I can enjoy going to and not have to deal with immaturity and the superiority complex people can sometimes have on other beauty sites. We are no better than one another. If you don't have something nice to say, as Jessenia said, keep your thoughts to yourself, or voice your opinion in a mature and non-abrasive way. Don't make this a hostile place and ruin it for everyone else.
Sorry for the rant girl! This was probably not an appropriate post to say all this on, but yeaa. Have a good weekend everyone! Stay beautiful!
