Of course its 3 in the am and I'm researching concelears and such to stumble upon:
http://www.youtube.com/user/makeup4vitiligo

They say that we shouldn't allow the misfortune of others to make us live our lives in misery, however this subscriber's video content really made me reflect on my attitude towards minor imperfections I wake up to find on some mornings, and how I wish I could just be perfect.

My makeup process takes about 10 minutes on a normal day, 30 if I am going out. I could only imagine having to suffer from a disease like this that you couldn't get a cream, or a serum, or a treatment to repair. Could you imagine how long it must take to cover everything up and to on top of that, have to worry about something streaking/fading/rubbing off, etc? Just the thought made me burst into tears, and I feel absolutely horrible and ungrateful.

I have become very humbled this morning at 3 A.M. And I think I am going to go a week without makeup, just to remind myself that I am not as monstrous as I imagine.

Any thoughts on any of these videos? Do you, or someone you know have vitiligo? How has it affected you?

Wow, she's so good at covering it up. I think it's great she's making those videos, I've never heard of vitiligo but it must be so hard having to cover up that much every day.

I have had friends who had it. It's hard to deal with. I know what you mean, I do like that she said she will want to go bare one day. I think she is really cool :)

Vitaligo runs strong in my family so I completely understand. One day I may have it but becoming a makeup artist and watching my mother and aunt struggle with it has definitely prepared me.

Oh, I honestly could barely tell at first that she lacked pigmentation in some areas. There was a guy I went to school with last year who had it really bad. Even on his lips. He was fine with it though, he played football and had a lot of friends and the girls were always chasing after him haha. That just goes to show where confidence can get you. :)
