With wedding season here, what do all of you brides-to-be or already married girls consider must-haves or essentials for the Big Day. I am getting married in June on a beach and would love to hear everyone's tips/advice!

Congrats on the wedding :) I am getting married in July! I think a big essential for you getting married on a beach would be a good setting spray! Also a good waterproof eyeliner and mascara. I am currently looking into good waterproof mascaras (I know I will need it!)

I recently did 5 beautiful makeups for my partners brothers wedding. His fiance booked me a year in advance from the time they were engaged last july.
Over the last 5 months i slowly put a makeup kit together with the basics for bridal, formal and photographic makeups so i can begin some freelance work as well. Essentials in my kit are:
Primer, I keep 3 on hand as a personal choice. Not all skin types are the same so I cater for the 3 common - dry, oily (pores) and normal.
Foundation - MAC face & body. For the price its incredibly cheap for the amount of product 120mls for $60AUD. I have 3 shades (all yellow undertones as pink can make the skin really ashy in B&W photography) at the current moment to mix. Its waterproof, heat and sweat proof. The bridal party were young and ever after a night of dancing, kissing and more dancing, the bride and her bridesmaids still looked as beautiful hours later. the makeup did not budge. So definitely a long wearing foundation suitable for photography.
A good concealer i have the coastal scents 15 concealer palette. So they aren't so cakey i mix a little primer into them on the back of my hand for smooth application.
A setting powder or HD. This will give you "airbrushed" skin and set foundation and removes shine. On top of that i apply a dusting of Napoloen Perdis Camera Finish Powder Foundation. This adds a little more coverage and prevents that white cast you see in photos which NO bride wants on her wedding day!

other must haves are bronzer ( i have a matte one ), a highlighter ( i use a illuminating veil powder ) its adds an ethereal glow. No Glitter or shimmer!
WATERPROOF MASCARA! You'll cry walking down the isle, during speeches, your first dance as husband & wife. I used Rimmel Glam Eyes mascara (waterproof formula) for the wedding, even after many tears the mascara stayed put. it gave great length and volume.
Last but not least a good lip stick gloss. i have a selection of Revlon lipstick and i mix them with a bit of Napoleon Perdis Lip Lacquer just before application. Lips are moisturised and stay glossy for hours with very little transfer (we have to keep the groom in mind here)

Those are my kit essentials for a wedding. Sorry if i rambled but i like to give explanations to my reasoning for choice. Im sure you will look amazing on your wedding day no matter what products you choose :) oh and Congratulations!

Foundation: MUFE HD
Setting powder: MUFE HD powder
Primer: MUFE
Foundation brush: Sigma F80 [flawless finish w/ little effort]

Eyeshadow/ Lipstick/ Blush: hard to say, depends on the makeup look you want. Are you sticking to one look, or are you going to have a transitional neutral look for the ceremony that can be touched up and added on for a more dramatic look for the reception?

I def. recommend using MUFE's aqua liners as a base for your lip liner. They last for EVER, but make sure you moisturize your lips. Their lipglosses are fantastic too.

Highlighter: MAC's By Candlelight.

Countour powder: MAC's Harmony or Bare Minerals Faux Tan

Mascara: MUFE aqua eyes smokey lash - lasts forever, and you CAN'T take it off w/o their Sense Eyes mu remover. Volumizes and lengthens, and it's the blackest of black.

I've attached a photo of some makeup I did for a friend's wedding. She got hers done by another artist, but I did the bridal party's. There was no awful flash strobe since I did not use any items containing SPF, and the amount of powder I used to set their makeup w/ was minimal, so there was no cakiness or white cast. Hope this helps, and I apologize for sounding like an MUFE infomercial. I just *heart* their products!

Congrats!! I definitely recommend Makeup Forever HD Powder. I just bought this stuff to try it out and it works wonder. On your wedding day, you want your makeup to last and this will certainly help with that! It will keep away any shininess for sure!
