Right now is the best time to start applying for Summer jobs! I've been putting in applications.. So far I've applied to Starbucks, Coldstone's, Target, the movies, In N Out, Sixflags and this salon/store place called Maly's which is owned my L'Oreal and it's for a part-time job as an assosiate who recommends products, and helps out and I hope I get this one, even though I probably won't because of my lack of experience, because it's beauty related!! It'd be so ideal.. Anyways- Anybody else job huntin'? If I don't get any calls in a few weeks for my first choices I'm going to apply to grocery stores and McDonalds.. Ahaha.

Don't worry about not having enough experience... many make up counters hire people with personality and enthusiasm for the brand + make up. MAC hires Sales Associates now... and I have many friends that worked at counters with little to no experience. I hope you get the job you want!  =)

I am a freelance writer, so I'm always on the hunt for new opportunities. I think mine are stable enough to last me through the summer. I did get a new job doing search-engine evaluation and that contract lasts until June. If I do well they will extend my contract. I love freelancing but I could theoretically be put out of work at a moment's notice. My twin sis and I are going to start selling our mineral make-up (online and IRL) online it is a bit saturated market but where we live no one does this. Doing this lets me tax-deduct make-up products, woohoo!

Be genuine, make eye contact when speaking, and practice talking to random people without pausing to say " um" every few sentences. Find everything positive about yourself and sell it like you mean it! Even if u dont get a call back, consider it practice and not an obstacle.
