After each application, I give mine a quick wash, using Sephora's Daily Brush Cleaner. Then, once a week, I deep-clean all my brushes using a mix of olive oil and baby shampoo.

If you need a daily brush cleaner and you want an inexpensive one, I use elf's daily brush cleaner and it works out good for me! Has not dried out my brushes but cleanses them! And its only $3 :) Can't beat that.

I use MAC's brush cleanser to spot clean daily - and I shampoo every 1-2 weeks. I make sure to condition them afterward as well.

Cleaning you brushes every week would be best just to keep them sanitary and your face clear of the bacteria. I use baby shampoo too and it works great.

LOL Mandyyyy! That's so funny it's definetely OCD :D but i do know what you mean i don't like the though of using brushes with old makeup on , so i've decided to wash my brushes once a week for the mean while and buy a daily cleanser asap.... x

I've tried the method of using antibacterial soap that you'd usually use for kitchen use and some olive oil (mixing them together) to deep clean mine and it works beautifully. The antibacterial soap kills the bacteria build up you get on the brushes and the olive oil conditions the hairs and makes them super soft. I usually do that about once every couple of weeks just because I have a LOT of brushes and don't use all of them often enough to wash all of them once a week. Then to spot clean I use the MAC brush cleanser.

My favorite brush cleaner is Mona Lisa's Pink Soap available at craft stores.

you can definetly give them a deep clean wash 1-2 times a week the most. But daily you can use an anti bacterial soap, or what is easiest is you can grab a make up remover wipe and just brush your brushes back and forth (gently) until they are cleaned! This works great too! Good luck! I just uploaded my very first YT video! check it out and tell me what you think! LoLhttp://youtu.be/WMhfHAHnOcg

Spot cleaners are great for in-between deep cleanings. CVS' brand, Essence of Beauty, has a spot cleaner that's great and only about $5.00. I deep-clean my brushes once a week with baby shampoo.

I agree with Yasmin. Try Mona Lisa's Pink Soap. It is so inexpensive and smells good. I have sensitive skin and I have had no break outs from this. And its PINK. haha. I love this soap... I was a little weird about using something from a craft store... but trust me, you will not be disappointed. I think I bought mine for around $4 or $5.

There are a few videos on YouTube for homemade brush cleanser, easily made with items most people have around the house. Very wallet friendly. :]

I spot clean after every use with e.l.f. Brush cleaning spray. And every Sunday night I deep clean with MAC's brush cleanser & an old hair conditioner that I'm not using!

Baby Shampoo once a week (or two weeks). Have tried professional brush cleaners and seriously they do not feel as clean as baby shampoo. I thank I will try the Dr. Bronner's natural soap idea, too.

You should wash your brushes after every application, especially your face brushes. At sephora, they sell travel sizes of their brush cleaner for $6.00 - $8.00, and their actually pretty decent sized for being travel sized. And like everyone else, I suggest once a week you clean them with baby shampoo.
