I don't necessarily use a primer, I use an anti-shine lotion which kind of acts the same as a primer. lol
I actually have NO idea why I don't use one..

I use primer everyday under my make up when I go to work..and going out. My t-zone gets very oily so primer definitely makes a difference.
I have NEVER heard of using Monistat chafing gel as a face primer! This is crazy! lol My primer just ran out this wknd, maybe (after a bit more research--everyone seems to say it's safe, but...everyone's skin/reactions are different..) I'll try it!

I just started using a primer literally like, last week after getting a sample of MUFE's primer. I actually really like it. I had been turned off to primer after hating Smashbox's Photo Finish (felt like silicone caulking on my face.) Mac's Prep & Prime is good too but I felt like it was more a glorified moisturizer rather than a "primer."

In my experience it completely depends on the make up, generally no I don't wear a primer. I just make sure to moisturize if anything, If I moisturize in the morning.. I feel like I notice less oil production throughout the day(If I'm using a good moisturizer). My mom had bought this Korres duo that was on sephora, its the primer in the white tube.. silicone free, etc. I notice a difference when using it if I use it with more natural cosmetics like Korres, bare minerals, tarte, and josie maran. My josie maran matchmaker foundation has AMAZING wear if I use it with the Korres Primer.. otherwise I notice more of an oily look on my face mid day and it kinda wears down the make up(I think). I'm officially hooked on this primer, though I don't find it's necessary with all foundations.

For me, a primer definitely gives me better, longer-lasting results. :)

i use loreal studio secrets primer. i swear by it, even over the REALLY expensive high end primers. it is a bit thick, but i find a little goes a long way if i really warm it up between my fingers. it makes even the worst of foundations look alright, it makes good foundations look excellent, and it makes excellent foundations look out of this world.

I don't regularly use a primer - partially because I haven't found one that I'm obsessed with yet!

I used to, but honestly I don't think it does anything that a good moisturizer and serum wouldn't do. Primers always irritate my skin too and makes my makeup look so much more cakey. Your basically looking for a silicone based product to keep your skins oils from reaching your makeup which can cause it to oxidize sooner or move around on your skin. During the day lately, I use Boots Protect and Perfect Serum which has proretinol and silicones, and set with Cetaphil Moisturizer SPF 50 diluted with their Moisturizing Cream since I have sensitive skin and can't handle the straight up SPF all over my face. I let it dry and I apply foundation/concealor after like 10 minutes or so. I rarely ever have a problem with my makeup having bad staying power or oxidizing, and surpringly I stay matte longer throughout the day then with "oily skin formulated' primers and moisturizers. Also, I have noticed a huge decrease in my breakouts and pore congestion. This could also be due to the Retinol in my day serum as well as in the Differin I use nightly. Long, but thought I would share = )

Well, I don't use foundation, but I do use concealer and powder. I've been using theBalm TimeBalm Honey Face and Body Primer and I love how smooth it makes my face. It works better than just using a moisturizer. It helps keep my Erase Paste look pretty. I would suggest looking around at a TJ Maxx and Marshalls to find it for cheaper instead of ordering it from the website for full rpice.
