So I am thinking about getting a body wrap but I don't know if they really work. Has anyone ever had one and if so did you notice a difference and what type of wrap did you get.
Thanks

Body wraps are much like facials where the clay draws out the toxins in the body. Depending on the clay, the type of wrap and the location on the body is can be as simple as facial or meant to help lose weight.
I've done at home body wraps when I competed in beauty pageants, oh so many years ago, and loved how my skin looked and felt. Is it worth it at a spa? It can depending on what kind of body wrap you're getting and the price.

I had a grape seed oil/sea salt scrub w/ a mud wrap in Napa, and I felt like the vichy shower was the only thing worth getting aside from the massage. They piled on the mud, and buried me under the heaviest aluminum blanket pads ever for 10 min. in a steamy sauna/shower room. I saw no difference in weight loss, but my body did feel the smoothest it had ever been...
...as for the toxin cleansing claim - I was there for a bachelorette spa weekend, and with all the alcohol consumed, I don't think I gave the mud wrap a fighting chance to cleanse out any toxins... haha. Pricey for just 1.5 hours of pampering, but worth it for a try. If you do any sort of body wrap where they offer a vichy shower/bath, DO IT! You WON'T regret it! =D
