what i mean is, when you apply your e/s primer, be it UDPP, TFSI, smashbox, w.e, dyou let it dry before you put on your e/s or leave it wet while you apply it? logic makes one think that you should leave it kinda tacky.. but many let it dry and say it works better that way!!

what about lash primer?

It all depends how fast I need to do my makeup. :) But I like to apply my eyeshadow as soon as possible. As for eyelashes, I wait until the glue is tacky but not too long because it dries out and then I have to reapply more glue.

for eye primer i let it dry but not to the point where its tooo dry...if that makes any sense and for lashes..i wait about 20-30 seconds for the glue to get tacky then i apply my lashes..also i've noticed that for lashes applying more glue on the ends saves u time from adding more glue on ur lashes if they dont stick =)

ouu.. i wasn't talking about lash glue, hehe, i meant last PRIMER.. if yvu use it.. i should have been more specific!!

i always thought that if you apply the colour while the primer is still wet, it'd last longer, some people swear by it, but i find that it gets cakey. alternatively, applying it after it has dried i find is just like putting on a base colour of regular powder e/s and pointless.. therefore i think i get what youre saying, Susana.. and hopefully its the same thing i have been sticking to! it seems to be working from your picture!

It depends because normally I put it on then spend a few minutes deciding on colours/finding colours so after I put on my UDPP it normally ends up drying - although I don't notice the difference if I put it on without drying

*no help*

I don't let my eye primer dry completely but I have run into the same problem you have with applying shadows on my primer too soon and it ends up cakey and hard to blend. I almost always let lash primer dry, by the time I'm ready to put mascara on, the primer is dry anyway

I don't let my primer dry. For some reason, my eyes soak up the primer fast. So, I basically apply my primer, then go straight into e/s.
As for false lashes, I put a dab of glue on the container of the lashes. Grab the lashes & cut them if necessary. This gives the glue time to get tacky. I don't apply the glue on the lashes itself, except on the ends & the middle. Not the whole strip. I apply the glue on my lash line, but not too close, or my eyes start to water [LOL!]. Then I pop them babies on & adjust them, if needed.

I don't let my eye primer dry either. I just make sure I rub it in real well and then continue on with my eyeshadow. I also try not to put on a ton of primer either. Just enough to cover the eye lid!

I give it a minute to dry so that it can really "grip" onto my greasy lids. It also keeps shadows from caking.

I blend my primers (MAC Paints, TSFI, UDPP) in with my ring finger, so by the time I'm done blending it's dry. If I'm using a base (MAC Paint Pot, NYX Jumbo Pencil) it's pretty much the same, though I guess they're a bit tacky because of their texture.

In my mind, if you have to wait a while an eye primer to dry, consider that you may be using too much of it.
