Crystal I.

Hey everyone! So im a new mom and I have such a hard time getting ready in the mornings what are some tips and tricks u all have to balance everything out

Hi Crystal! Congrats on your new baby! It is such a beautiful blessing. I am also a new mommy, my daughter is now 4 months, and I was having the hardest time getting ready in the morning. I have tried a few things. In the beginning her dad would watch her for me which was amazing but there are times when he is already at work so I am all alone with her. I tried putting her in her baby swing but no such luck. :(

Recently I decided just to wake up really early before Zoe wakes up and finish before her first feeding. My daughter usually sleeps throughout the night and wakes up in the morning but there are random days when she is awake much earlier. I try to get ready in sections. When I'm done with my eyes I walk around with her and sing to her and then she is happy so I put her down and work on a different section. I would try different techniques to see what works for you. Good luck I know it's a lot of work. :)

Congrats Crystal on your new lil'one.
I am also a new mommy to a 2month old girl....n yes it is hard to find the time to get ready but a good way is to have sumone help you watch the baby while you get ready or like Shannyn said to do a lil at a time .....

or if you are alone then try feeding the baby n put her lil one in the car seat all snuggly n put it right next to you n your lil one will fall fast asleep

congrats! I am a mom of 3 and they are old enough to be locked out and have daddy watch them while I get ready at this point lol but I remember those days. I actually found that keeping my wee ones in the bathroom with me in a bouncer (mine was a kick and play the vibrates their feet which my kids adored) and playing mellow music worked the easyiest for getting things done.
do you essentials first. I always forgot mascara because I would get distracted so in that season of my life I would do mascara eyeliner and lip gloss first (I don't wear foundation everyday) and the non-esseantials last.

hahaha i didnt even shower for the first three months let alone apply makeup.. youre way aheada me!

As my mom always told me if i have 5 minutes or less to get ready tackle the three things that stand out the most!
eyebrows, eye lashes & lips. if im running out the door i fill my eye brows curl & apply mascara & lipgloss if i have time slap on a link coral or pink blush and go. if my skin is breaking out i use concealer and lightly use my face powder

congrats to the new beautiful mommy!

I always did something really basic that took ~ 10 minutes. My little boy is one now and I'm finally back to my old routines.

I found that just applying face make up, a little mascara and a bright lip still made it look like I spent some time on my face. I definitely invested in a good under-eye concealer!

I have a 3 year old and 5 year old who are actively little BOYS! When I was a new mom I used to switch between tried and true techniques with different colors and not get overly complicated. Then if my husband was home I could get down to the little tiny crazy details and lock myself away for a few precious minutes. It's hard in the beginning, but if you can feed your baby then put her/him in a swing or bouncy chair in the bathroom or your bedroom with you, it's not quite as bad. Oh my gosh I had the hardest time getting out the door on time with my first! I think every new mom should get unending forgiveness for lateness. Nobody understands how much work and prep it takes to get out the door looking somewhat civilized with a little one in tow ;)

My sons both know far too much about MAC brushes and cosmetics because they're still in the habit of watching me put my makeup on during the week and always ask questions haha. We do what we can!

The more natural look I put on my site is actually a quick and easy look that's pretty but not complicated. Check it out if you like! http://www.bkoicosmetics.com/LookBook.html

I have a 1 year old son, and I love a natural look. :) When I have more time I like more dramatic looks...but for school and short trips out of the house I go neutral.

I love putting a wash of a light eyeshadow all over my lid, a subtle eyeshadow in the crease, light eyeshadow on my inner tear ducts, mascara, blush, bronzer, and concealer to conceal blemishes/undereye circles. When your a mother, concealer is your best friend! <3 I also make sure I use a eyeshadow primer, I love using Too Faced shadow Insurance. It keeps my eyeshadow on for long hours with no creasing! It also makes my eyeshadow blend like a dream and the color vibrant. :)

One of my favorite looks is MAC all that glitters on my lid, MAC woodwinked in the crease, L'oreal voluminous mascara, MAC plum foolery blush, Victoria Secret Radiant face trio on top, all that glitters eyeshadow on my tear ducts, and lipbalm or lipstick. I blend my eyeshadow with the MAC 239, use a plain ol' no brand brush to pat the eyeshadow on, essence of beauty crease brushes for my crease, ELF angled blush brush, Sonia Kashuk powder brush for bronzer, my fingers for concealer, and the MAC 219 for my inner tear ducts. :)

The concealer I use is awesome <3 It has a salmon color for undereye circles/veins, green for blemishes/any redness, and a skin color that you put on top of those colors. It also has a powder to set it :) I mostly use my fingers but sometimes I use a concealer brush, and I use the Sigma 224 to pat the powder on top. It lasts all day!
