Hi everyone!
Sorry if this is a dupe of a conversation (I'm new *waves*) but at the moment I'm having some problems with quite visible pores on nose and inner cheeks and I'm really getting quite sad about it :(
Im currently doing the usual cleanse, tone, moisturise, primer on my skin as prep, but I really don't think I'm using the right products..maybe even these products are making the issue worse! Theyre just standard Boots branded cucumber lotions and potions..
I used to use Eve Lom cleanser and moisturisers but the brand is just getting more and more pricey. I've also used Herbology quite a bit too but my local store dosnt stock it anymore so in haste to top up on products i just landed on Boots brands...I think this was a mega mistake :(
Any help would be really appreciated!
Thanks lots! x

Awww, visible pores can be very annoying, and sometimes certain types of makeup powders make them even more apparent.
I don't think there is a product out there that will close pores permanently, but I hear a lot of people swear by making a mask out of egg whites to tighten them. Not too sure if it'll help much in the long run if you do it regularly, but worth a try! Plus, it's egg white - inexpensive and definitely won't screw up your skin coz it's natural. :)

Vivian thank you so much for your response!
The egg white mix sound exciting! I'll have to further look it up on Google, thanks!
I knoww...They bug me a lot....the thing is ive got the quality of my skin under control, like i dont get oily or dry now because ive pretty much got the routine down (although i dread to think what would happen if i BROKE the routine...eep!) but STILL the little pores remain regardless..hehe >_<
Thanks so much thought :D

I've always heard using very cold water when washing your face can help. I'm not sure about this though. Pores tend to "stretch" as we age too -- I'm 26 and I can definitely see where it is starting to happen even from last year =/

I too use ice cold water to wash my face. I have very large pores, that are viable on my cheeks so I completely understand how you feel.
Sad truth: you can only temporarily shrink the size of your pores. (They will become smaller if you have clogged pores and you purge them). I use Clinique's Pore Minimizer Instant Perfector. My skin looks matte and my pores are virtually invisible. You can apply it on top of or under makeup. I use it in the AM and reapply after lunch. It's available in 2 shades, light and dark. I use the Light, it feels like powder - super silky. xoxo

Thanks girls! Again great help and advice! I went into my local selfridges today and picked up Kiehls Rare Earth Pore Refining Tonic...its super interesting in that the clay that'd one of the ingredients really separates so you've got to shake it up hard before use..if read some good reviews about it and had a good chat to the Kiehls assistant about it so *hopefully* it'll maybe help out. Stay in touch if you havnt used it before and likewise drop me a post if you have over how you've got one with it. Using it in conjunction with newly purchased estee ladder Idealist serum for day and Advanced Night Repair serum for bedtime...I'm going in all hands to the face deck for sure! My cleanser is the only thing that hasn't had a revamp...I'm going to have to ask for more advice from you awesome beautylishers too I think cos you're a bit brilliant hehe. Thanks again! Will try the cold water technique as of this eve x
