I live in Canada and LOVE MAC but it is going to take a few months for me to get everything together and get my MAC Pro card, any suggestions on where/how to get discounted MAC products before then? Thanks!

i'd suggest ebay or allcosmeticswholesale.com :)

But be wary of counterfeit items on any other site. You can only order legitimate MAC products from MAC. Unless you have a pro card you won't get the 40% discount (30% of any other pro). My suggestion, make friends with someone with a pro card. ;)

I have been trying to encourage friends to sign up for the MAC card (I know a few hairstylists and aestheticians) and am getting one myself but I have to get a card put together.

Hairstylists and estheticians only get a 30% discount while MUAs get the 40%. Personally I think MAC is overrated and overpriced. I've put a list of companies that offer discounts. Check that out.

I know enkore from youtube is havin a huge surplus sale! He had alot of mac products on there. The prices are really cheap. I believe he did a video about it on his youtube channel. Hope this helps good luck!!!

MAC is owned by Estee Lauder. You can find their product 20% off at "The Cosmetics Company Store" outlet stores. There are LOTS of FAKE products for sale online.

How do you get a MAC PRO Card?

There are professional requirements you must meet to get the card. You have to pay for membership - another reason I dislike MAC - on a yearly basis for that 40% discount (if you're a PROFESSIONAL MUA). However, MAC is the EASIEST of the companies to get a "pro" card from since their requirements do not require an actual license (which is why so many so-called "pros" on YT use MAC).

I don't think they have any cosmetic company store outlets in canada :(

Who? MAC? Oh yes they do. LOTS. MAC is based in Canada.

To Nancy who said:

But I don't think there are any of those outlet stores in canada.

CCO or allcosmeticswholesale.com, I've ordered from there multiple times and they have great products for pretty good prices - not extremely cheap but cheaper than MAC and they also have a ton of discontinued stuff :)

I reecently found this website that's a whole sale cosmetics, but all MAC products and the prices are super cheap. From $ 6.00 plus.

I haven't purchased anything yet, but I'm sure it's good!

I live in the UK and tend to go to three online reputable site. They are the equivalent to allcosmeticswholeshale.com. Most of the MAC products are discounted and some are limited or discontinued item. I got the coveted MAC lavender whip cremesheen lipstick but ended paying £20 (that's about $32). I know but I really wanted it. hey also ship international too!

We do have CCO's in the UK (Biscester, Oxford and I think their's one in Manchester?) but both a bit of a journey for me to travel, hence just ordering on line.

MAC and esteelauder are an american company, and MAC is actually based out of New York. If you can get over the boarder and go to a CCO or know someone who works for estee lauder and can buy a ticket from them to their warehouse sale. you can find lots of discounted products :)

another site that you can get samples of mac pigments from, which i use allll the time: thebeautysampler.com
you get a sample size but unless you are using the same pigment everyday, the size that they give you WILL last a while :)

Pre-Estee Lauder, MAC was based in Canada. MAC originally stood for Makeup Artists of Canada.

Don't know about the acronym but MAC was originally a Canadian company...
