I hear so much about Nyx being compared to Mac and other brands. What would you compare them to?

idk. i think nyx stands alone. it's a quality, affordable brand but i wouldnt say it's comparable to mac in quality. there are some shade dupes. certain products are greats like their jumbo pencils, round lipsticks, and brow pencil. i do not love their lip gloss (because of scent) and their blush is just ok.

I agree with Ashley, it's kind of unique in that it straddles the drugstore & professional market. It's got a fantastic range for a drugstore line, while it also caters to makeup artists with professional tools. The price range makes it attractive too, though I feel like the quality of some items doesn't compare to professional brands like Ben Nye, MAC or Make Up For Ever.
That said, if you can find items that work for you or your clients for a lower price without sacrificing quality, go for it. :]
