I am looking into going to cosmetology school and I was wondering has anyone on here done beauty school and how long did it take you to find a job? Totally excited to get my school tours next week. I love doing hair so this is a dream for me.

I went to beauty school, had my hours to get my ethethicians license but never went to take the state exam.
As for finding a job, after you get your license you could always choose to rent a booth rather than to become someone's employee. The downside to that is that you typically have to have your own clientele but you'd be pretty much your own boss. The other downside is that you'll not only have to have your cosmetology license but also a booth license from the state (which is similar to how the salon has to have a salon license).
Good luck in beauty school! I remember it as being a fun time.
