Hi Everyone!! Im a MUA, and I've worked as a freelance artist for Benfit and Bobbi Brown..but I would love to get into doing makeup for music videos and movies!! I've had my esthetics license for a few years now and I'm a week away from getting my cosmetology license. I am also working on my Bachelor's in Business..so I have plenty of education, I just really dont know how to get into my dream career!! I dont even really know how to find makeup jobs!! Any suggestions on where to look, or how to get into these types of jobs?? Thank you for taking the time to read this!!

I know that some of the celebrity MUA's actually go through agencies - like models do basically. I attended the Make Up For Ever Pro Road Show and this was brought up. They also said to really work on marketing yourself through social media so that you are recognizable :) (sorry this post is like a year late lol)

I know this is a downgrade but you can start looking at hair salons or spas for a starter job.
