Hey guys, I am about to do some shopping today and I am on the prowl for a new concealer, for my under eye area.
I have a few ideas, but wanted to hear some recommendations!! Ready, set, go!

what are you concealing? Lines and wrinkles, puffiness, dark circles, brightening?
I have very little dark circles (mainly in the inner corner) but I do like to highlight under my eyes and due to my eye shape, I have to avoid concealer that will settle into my lines and crease. My favorite concealer right now is dermablend smooth indulgence concealer...surgical coverage but matte so no creasing. I used it in the video link below - you may want to check it out to see the coverage and consistancy.

Lise Watier Portfolio Corrector Wheel. It's seriously the most amazing product I've ever used.

I'm late ): But I really like MUFE HD concealer.

Sorry! I should have been more explicit. Just dark circles. I have found attempting to conceal fine lines to be ineffective as it's more a texture issue rather than a pigment issue. Thanks @Angel, creasing really irritates me, I actually use Strivectin's Wrinkle filler before I apply concealer and it helps tremendously. I haven't actually thought about dermablend, but maybe I will visit my local counter and see what magic they can do. = )
@Simera I have heard the Bobbi Brown one was amazing, but they were actually out of it at my local Sephora. Wahhh
@Ashley is it similar to Ben Nye's conceal all wheel? I love mine, but it has a tendency to dry out the area under my eyes and flakes.
@Jasmin Believe it or not, it is one of the few MUFE Complexion products I have not tried. I liked their full cover concealer, but it worked better on my face, rather than under my eyes. Does it finish dry, or slightly tacky?

id agree with jasmine. MUFE HD concealer works pretty good. ive tried a sample of it (as i cannot justify spending on it) but like their HD foundation it sort of uses light reflective stuff to diffuse/hide imperfections, not only in HD cameras but also in person. I found it effective in hiding dark circles. :) But currently i use a drugstore concealer called Almay concealer + base and it works really good in hiding my dark circles (from lack of sleep), another drugstore one id recommend is the rimmel match perfect concealer. (sorry if my recommendation are mostly drugstore as im on quite a budget lol) hope it helps!

Oh and i forgot to add, i never had any problems with creasing on any of the 3 concealers as long as you set it with powder (i have oily skin and oily eyelids so i have to set it and they stay put all day long)

I've tried it a few times without foundation and just straight concealer. It dries to your skin type, if that makes sense? I haven't experienced neither dry or tacky so it blends really well. I like it a lot because I use it both for under my eyes (and I have really dark under eyes) and my acne scars and it works really well for both.
I have oily skin by the way, but I don't get oily under my eyes. So I use moisturizer before applying the concealer.

Girl don't apologize! There are many drugstore products that work just as good as any expensive brand.
Thanks for the detailed response Sabrinna, I am definitely going to run in there tommorrow to do a test-run sans makeup.

Thats true :) Im just glad the almay one works as I cannot afford the MUFE one yet, its going to burn a hole deep down my wallet, haha. And your welcome! hope you find one that works for you! :) Oh and I agree again with Jasmin, the MUFE HD also works with acne scarring :)

I LOVED Almay's Bright Eyes Concealer when I was like 17 cause it was effective, and I honestly wore very little makeup then. I will admit that I like many higher-end products for many reasos, but I also still have stuff that I still purchase from drugstores. Neutrogena Healthy Skin Enhancer, Covergirl's clear mascara, and I love Physicans Formula products. They are all great, and inexpensive!

is the "bright eyes concealer" different from the "eye base + concealer concealer" of almay? im just not so sure as i decanted mine in a sample jar because the original packaging was too annoying to use! and not very hygienic. and i agree with the Physicians Formula products! Love their mosaic blushes (i have all shades i think) and their lash booster eyeliner cause it works! Though PF is qyite pricey without the coupons and discounts, as i havent seen any of their price go down below $8. (im so tight on money...lol)

I guess not! I just googled it, and It's actually called: Almay's Bright Eyes Eye-Base and Concealer! I remember mine came with a little flimsy brush on the top that would clog, so after awhile I did have to pry it off and scoop it out, which is why I don't use it any longer. It was such a pain.

Ah i see though i never gave mine a chance to clog as the first time i used it i didnt like the flimsy brush and looked for a good sample jar to place it into (MAC sample jars are best, my concealer never dried out and the cap is screw on). Though the rimmel comes in the same packaging. Ive found they both work for me. Though i guess best option is to just decant them in jars, (i use a cotton swab to pick product up and apply to my face). But hopefully theyd work for you though :) if not i guess you can give in to the price and try the MUFE one. Or the Bobbi Brown one (people rave about it a lot :) )

The price doesn't really bother me that much if the product works. I have tried so many types of concealer, and I have found a few (expensive and not expensive) that work great, but for under eye area its hard to fine one that color corrects dark blue and isn't in cream or cake form. The closest I have gotten to HG is Cliniques Line Smoothing, or Lancome's Effacernes, just wish pigment was better.

Oh okay well the one that bugs me with MUFE is that its $28 for 0.05 oz of product. its not a lot even if people say a little goes a long way. lol. but i noticed they have a MUFE lift concealer, and that seems like it would help with concealing dark circles. :) oh and heres one from tarte. http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P243700&shouldPaginate=true&categoryId=5648 most colors seem peachy and would help counteract the blue in the dark circles!. i really hope you find one that works for you!

i had a super light shade of kat von d's tattoo concealer and a shade that was a bit too dark in mac's select cover up. i combined the two in a little pot and it's perfect. it's thick but blendable, doesn't crease/fade/wear off at all. otherwise, i like covergirl and olay's eye concealer because it has moisturizer running through it

It's nothing like the Ben Nye wheel, all of the colours are so creamy and have such an amazing coverage, they aren't drying at all. I seriously cannot say enough good things about that wheel. I think everyone needs to have it!

I would recommend the MAC Pro LongWear Concealer or the Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer :)

Hard Candy used to be high end when they were in Sephora, now they're found at Walmart. Glam-a-flauge is pretty awesome and a tube of it lasts a very long time.

I use a mix of YSL Touche Eclat and the MUFE Full Cover Concealer. The former was too thin in consistency to make a difference for my undereye situation but I like the light reflecting quality and the Full Cover is just too thick for the eye area but I love the staying power. Together, they're great.
Of course, this is only viable if you have both lying around... No point buying both. But you have the Full Cover so... Hmm... Bah! Chalk up another pointless reply to me then, eh. Sigh.
