CeraVe cleansers and moisturizers are all I use with my Clarisonic. Works better than any high end product I've used, and it's affordable and easily accessible at drugstores and Target.

I second Soma...I use CeraVe's hydrating cleanser with my Clarisonic! It also comes with a little cleanser which is good as well (but its just a travel size)

im actually glad ceraVe got 2 thumbs up because i actually already own it xD so im definitely gonna try that out with my clarisonic

Terra M. - I love CeraVe to pieces! Haha, I'm a broken record about it, but when you've spent too much money on stuff that doesn't work for almost a decade... Only to find something that does work, you shout it from every rooftop you can! =D

I've never used the clarisonic (sounds amazing though) but my favourite cleaners are Eve Lom. NUDE cleansing oil and Noxzema.
But a bunch of you have mentioned this CeraVe cleanser.... I might have to look that up.
I'm a bit of a cleanser nerd.

I agree with Soma S. --- CeraVe!!! I use the Foaming Cleanser only because my face is really on the oily side versus dry side. However, I did use the foaming cleanser once and loved it!!!

Unfortunately, I tried the Clarisonic for 4 months about --- about 2-3 years ago, and I broke out bad! I never touched my brush since.

I am very tempted to use it with CeraVe though, because back at the time, I used the little fash wash that came with Clarisonic brush (the Clarisonic brand samples) for a good month. Then I used it with 2 whole bottles of Purity the next 3 months, and my face broke out every day and every where. It was gross and very fraustrating and very depressing -- knowing I spent about $200 for the very hype up brush, and more $$ on the hype up face wash.

everyone seems to like cerave, will it be good for oily, acne prone skin? currently im using the murad clarifying cleanser with my clarisonic (its helping my whole murad regimen work better! im happy :) i just dont want to jinx it..lol)

I should be getting one for christmas *fingers crossed*. Many youtubers recommend Liz Earle's cleanse and polish. I love that without the Clarisonic so i'll be giving that and Elemis's Pro Collagen a bash!

Sabrinna, I was suffering from cystic acne. I broke out with PIMPLES at multiple parts of my face at the same time. Anywho, I tried everything on this planet to make it better. I thought higher end stuff would be better, so I tried everything and nothing worked.

After coming here with my hopes to clear skin pretty much gone, I decided what the heck... let me try this DRUG STORE brand that Soma recommended.

A couple of months on that stuff my face felt soft, my horrible breakouts started to stop, my complexion was actually getting better.

Here is a note though... CeraVe DOES NOT have any acne fighting ingredients in it. What it did was it washed away all my makeup, the grime, the oil (I have very oily and very sensitive skin). Then I would put my acne topicals on after. These would 1. Kill the acne bacteria (Benzol Peroxide), 2. Take off that initial top layer of "gunck" (Differen -- not too sure of it's scientific name). I got these topicals through my Dermo, and this combo cleared my skin up fast!

If you don't want to go to a dermo, there are over the counter acne topicals like Benzo Peroxide and Sacylic Acid (which I think can help take off that top layer). In addition to this, I used a Scrub and Mask 2x a week. This helps take off that top layer of junk skin (the topicals are spot treaments) and have new youthful skin shine through. I swear this also helped fade my dark brown acne scars faster.

A bunch of beauties mention, it's all about using a gentle facial cleanser (CeraVe) and then using 'spot treatments'. Face wash with stuff already in it (Sacylic Acid) and what not, are not on your skin for a long period of time. So it won't get down to the root of the problem, yet it will cause havoc on your skin because its "harsh" chemicals. The spot treaments is what goes deep down into your skin and fights all the bad stuff.

Jane A. Is right... CeraVe is really gentle, and if you're hoping it will repair damaged cystic acne, you have to be patient. When I broke out bad last winter, I had painfully dry cystic skin, and I ruined it experimenting with OCM and glycolic scrubs that seemed to make my face explode in more breakouts. CeraVe felt like it took a good 1.5 months to show any progress, but it seemed to restore moisture balance, so I remained true to it. Once my face was no longer dry, it automatically started to heal as long as I didn't stress it with new experimental stuff. I used Queen Helene's mint julep mask since I read it was almost identical to Proactive's sulfur masks, and that dried out whatever was left on my skin and the pimples felt like they just fell off my face. Everyone is different though - what works for me may not work for you, but for drug store prices, it's worth a shot!

I use Philosophy's "Purity Made Simple" with my Clarosonic. It's the perfect combo for my acne prone skin. I still get the occasional white head and one or two cyctic break outs but they go away a lot faster.
