We've all spent countless amounts of money on what we love: MAKEUP!! But we've also purchased items or products that, didn't necessarily suck, but we just never, ever use. Me? My purchase was the fan brush. I've had it for over 2 years and I think I've used it twice. I have a duo brush that removes fallout better. What's your "Why The Heck Did I Buy This?" purchase...

An eyelash applicator that came with ELF's Hollywood lashes... oh, and lash stand. Doesn't work, and lashes get dust on them when sitting atop a stand in open air. NO BUENO. Dollywink lash case > ELF lash stand for storing and looking cute. I'm not going to lie... I was suckered into buying something that really sucked. Cool concept, bad execution.

My Naked Palette is currently lying at the bottom of my "Spare Make-up" box. It's been there since I used it once and found the staying power lacking even with UD Primer. Then again, maybe I was just too caught up with all the hype surrounding it and bought something I didn't really need. Bah.

Haha... Lex R. - mine has been swatched twice and used once. NAKED was def. over-hyped.

Soma S: *GASP* Thank Gawd, I'm not the only one. Everyone I've spoken to say they "LURVE" the Naked Palette so much. I don't get it.

@Soma and Lex ok now i have completely questioned my need to buy the naked palette....as much as everyone hyped it up i was like ok gotta have but now im not so sure....

A couple of lipglosses, that's for sure.
Like those Revlon Super Lustrous kinds.
When CVS and Rite-Aid had those 75% clearance things, I'd just go crazy and buy a bunch of things. Those are basically the items t hat are my "why the heck did I do this" items.
I love my Naked palette though. :3 tee hee.
I definitely don't use it much as when I first got it,
but I still use it on those days I need to hurry and gtfo the house.

@Jasmine K. You may like it. Most people do. All my friends who've bought it say they love it. It's just that the shadows don't last very long on my über oily lids and there are too many glitter/shimmer shades with too much fall-down for my taste.
@Freddie B. You're lucky to be able to make full use of it. Right now I'm thinking of just giving it away to someone who needs it more. Like the girl I always see on my way to work with chalky light blue eyeshadow all the way up to her brows. One color. No blending. Nada. Yeah, maybe her. Hyuk!

:)
I've had a habit of using other palettes lately (like the Dangerous palette) but there are just those days... like right now, it's 45F outside and raining. I don't want to use something as bold as the Dangerous palette for this day since I'm afraid the rain will mess it up, LOL.

@Soma I want to get one of those Dollywink lash cases! I wear lashes everyday and it just makes sense to me.

MAC Face + Body! Ugh. I just NEVER wear it. >___< So dumb. I don't like MAC foundations, I have like 3 other foundations that I prefer. So annoyed I bought it.
I just moved overseas so had a HUGE ruthless clean out of my makeup, threw stuff out, gave it away etc. So I don't really have anything now that I don't use. I'm sure there'll be more in the future though. XD

I would have to say that my naked palette has been sitting for about a month now. I have been using the UD 15th anniversary palette which had 5 identical shades from the naked palette. And of course my Inglot eyeshadows : )

mac's lash primer. i've long since thrown it out but i was suckered into it at the store. i got it home and tried it out for about 2 days and then gave up on it. it didn't make a difference and it was extra time i didn't need to add onto my routine. never again lol

the elf beauty books are mine. I figured "hey they're cheap and they look cool on the site" on the site is one thing but they suck in person.

Urban Decay's Ammo palette. I would say the Naked palette but my mom gets a lot of use out of it. And NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Roman Holiday. And it isn't that I dislike the product, I just forget I have it.

Naked is good if u don't want to think about it and don't have a lot of neutrals... I have my own customized palette I much prefer because I had control selecting the finishes and shades.
Jasmine J. - you can find cheaper ones from Daiso, but the simple plastic case is so handy for travel! An Altoid tin could work just as well, but the Dollywink one was too cute to not get! =]

ELF lashes & some weird lipglosses by L'oreal. Idk, the color looked cute but I did no research on them & payed WAY more than I should have for such little product. I wish I never bought them!

NYX GROW LASH LIQUID LINER a major mistake, it dries shiny and after a while of having it, I can say is a waste of money, it peels off like if it was plastic or something like that, and doesn't last very long.
HAted it :'(
what are your thoughts on the NYX nude on nude palette?
cuz I think is the same as UD naked palette, but I dunno, which one is better in your opinion? cuz I wanna buy the nude on nude by NYX

The Naked Palette by UD was so hyped! The pigments are nice but I get te same colors in my 88palettes and 120 palettes and with my MAC shadows lol

Basically anything by ELF, everything I've ever used by them has been awful and I end up just throwing away! :(

I wish it was a singular product.. no such luck. LOL
Benefit Benetint.. ew.
Clinque 3-Step ..broke me out horribly.
MAC Bitter Eyeshadow ..difficult to work with and build up.
NYX Jumbo Pencils.. they crease so badly on me (Milk, Orange & Yellow are exceptions).
NYX Eyeshadow Trio.. I think it was called Tropical, when it should have been called hot ashy mess.
Revlon PhotoReady.. gave me the dreaded SPF ghost look.
