This may sound like common sense but, it may help someone out!

So I have been doing this secret experiment the past two weeks. It regards to skin care on shaved skin.

I wondered for a while if this minor random blemish I had was due to me not waiting for my pores to close after shaving, and immediately applying cosmetics. So one week I tried just shaving, cleansing, moisturizing and immediately applying primer/foundation and stuff. The other week, I would shower and shave, but instea of applying makeup and serum right after, I waited thirty minutes after I applied moisturizer to finish my makeup.

I did notice the first week the 5 O Clock shadow seemed to show through the makeup, and I did a few random whiteheads on my jawline. Also, makeup would settle into some of my larger pores and make them more noticeable.

The second week when I waited though, I noticed the five o clock shadow wasn't so obnoxiously blatant, and also my makeup seemed to sit above my pores where there were larger ones. Best of all? No breakout!

I went to my derm and asked her about it today, and she told me that those with sensitive skin or trouble skin, should always wait thirty minutes before applying anything except non-fragranced moisturizer to the skin. So I was onto something! Also, she did tell me that it is best to wait 30 minutes after you wakeup to shave, because your body bloats when your sleeping, and you may not get the closest shave possible!

This was so random, but I am intrigued! Hope this helps one of you, or someone you know! = )

I have to wait even if I don't put any cosmetics, extra sensitive skin a pain in the butt :p
though the only thing I apply after a couple of minutes out of shower(time where I shave)
is my toner.

Oh my gosh. That just made me think of something. So I always wet my face with hot water so my pores will open up, and then i wash my face, and then i rinse off with cold water so my pores will close, then i moisturize. Is my skin so dry because my pores are closed when I apply my moisturizer?

lately what I've been doing is moisturized my skin with kiehls lotion and they I press a tissue paper on my face and the wet it, been working :D
