What's one or two makeup things that you regret buying?? Maybe you heard a lot of good things about it, but you didn't think it was all that..

i used to buy stuff i never used all the time, it sounds really silly but i research reviews of everything i buy now, usually if lots of other people love something it means it must do what its supposed to. Thank goodness for smart phones ha-ha i will be in sephora with my phone out looking up reviews :-p

I didn't really hear much about this to begin with.. and maybe that was my fault for not researching it.. however I was under pressure while choosing to buy it because a worker at sephora had directed me to it! I wanted NARS albatross and they were out! So I asked her what something similar was and she took me to Too Faced's Candlelight highlight. It's just.. so not worth it! I might as well be applying nothing for a highlight! So I AM! Until I can go get a different highlight!

I know it's just a drugstore brand and didn't cost too much but Hard Candy mascaras. I have tried a few of them and they just didn't cut it at all. I was left with tarantula eyes. you live you learn.

Sometimes I regret buying China Glaze (because it's streaky), but with that I'm learning that you have to experiment and work with the colors to actually get them to work right. I also regret buying the Sephora brand waterproof eyeliners; the ones that resemble the Urban Decay 24/7 liners. Those sucked.

Nars the multiple in Orgasm. It's not that I didn't like it, I was just expecting something AMAZING because of all the hype surrounding it. Just wasn't my holy grail product I guess. And I don't wear blush that much anyway because my cheeks are pretty red on there own.

Bobbi Brown Smooth Skin Foundation. It's more of a love/hate... mostly hate. I'll have a rare skin day where it actually goes on nicely and looks good but mostly it just looks heavy. Boo.

NARS Sheer Glow foundation... not because it's a bad foundation, but for the price... it's just a little bit off for my skin and I don't think it's really AMAZING. =/ Definitely trying something else next time.

I have quite a bit of makeup I never use (like, they're still in the wrapper) but they were all gifted to me. If I buy something I regret, I just go return it. Sephora is close enough to me to not have to worry about getting there to return/exchange something. The closest MAC store (not counting department stores that sell it) is a 15-30 min bus ride away from me (depending on traffic) so that's a little more difficult.

For me it would have to be MAC foundations, I felt the product was too thick and I felt like a cakeface after I applied it. I really wanted to like it because everyone was saying that it has amazing coverage and it lasts all day long but I guess it wasn't meant for me.

Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Zero. It's definitely not the blackest black and DOES NOT stay on 24/7. It is smooth and easy to apply BUT it totally fades, epecially along my waterline it disappears by the end of the day.
