what is the purpose of a kabuki brush? i have seen them everywhere but what can you use them for?

a lot of people use them for applying all over pressed powder or setting powder.

I use mine for either powder foundation, bronzer or blending out any face makeup if I accidently get too much on (like blush).

I was thinking kabuki, I just got a mac 187 the other day, I haven't used it yet, I got it because kinda hated the kabuki that i had...so i thought i would try the 187, any brand/type recommendations for the kabuki

I recently got the ELF essential brushes and I LOVE them..surprisingly! Lol
