its kinda fun to do if you are looking to get rid of some products, but then again it can be kind of hard because the whole point is to not buy anythign makeup related until you use up x number of items. I would recomend making an introduction video as you first youtube channel.

I've done PP.. It was fun to do and to update people on your project. But it was kinda hard to do. I was trying to get rid of some products. And like Kaylan H. says the whole point is to not buy a thing while you're doing this project.. and as a beautylover that's hard!! But if you want to try it, just go for it.. maybe start off with 5 products instead of 20.

thats what i was thinking. i have just a few products that i would like to get used up.

@kaylan..i didnt even think to do an intro video, i was just gonna go head first into this. thanks for the tip

I could never do it. LOL I'm addicted to buy new collections of products I like. LOL

@victoria- you welcome. I tried just diving head first into it on my old channel....when i got my new one it worked out much better having an intro up.

I've done it twice. I did Project 10 Pan last year and I did a Project 20 Pan this year.

@Tamara: You, girlie, are strong. O_O

When I did my PP, it seemed like all the best products came out :( It was so hard lol praying for LE items not to sell out and still be in stock months later >_<

i did it once, and never again, i couldn't cope with it. do you know how hard it is being an avon rep and not being able to treat myself to any avon goodies???

I've done PP once! It was super hard, but I got through it! After I finished, I went out and bought way too much stuff! Kinda defeats the purpose, but I had to celebrate somehow! LOL!

I really need to do it again! I have SO much makeup as I'm sure most of you do as well! It's just so hard to resist new collections, items, etc.

Good luck to any of you who are going to go for it!

I think the first time I heard about PP was on Makeup Geek's forum! There were a few of us who were doing it at the same time and we started a thread to support each other. I believe the thread is still there.

A Project __ Pan is when you don't buy any new makeup products until you finish a certain number of products first.

i have like 7 things i need to get rid of. and its not all makeup im notorious for using half of a shampoo/conditioner or body products and then buying more and never finishing lol.

You can always use your conditioner for shaving your legs. That's what I do! Works great and the product doesn't go to waste. As for your shampoo....you can use it to clean your makeup brushes!

Sounds too hard for me but wouldn't be a bad idea as im always hoarding!

It is hard, but I think it gives you the opportunity to rediscover things you have in your stash! HA! I'm quite a hoarder too!

LOL.. it's not strength per se, just a gaining a sense of awareness.

I used to say there was no such thing as too much makeup, but these days I'm the first to admit I have too much. So when I do the PP, it's an exercise in looking at what I already have. I've rediscovered so many things that I'd forgotten about, hauls that never got shared on the blog, reviews that were forgotten.. all because I was too busy scrambling to pick up the newest products.

And to be perfectly honest, it's kind of nice being able to look at something new and being able to walk away from it without any regrets. ;]

I'm going on a beauty diet this summer! No makeup products for 2 months, just use what I have. Generally, I finish around 5 products a month but this time I'm motivated to use up more without buying. I don't think I have too much makeup : don't have double colors, don't have many back ups) but I sometimes need a Project Pan to focus on what I have. I already know that til 2012, I have enough foundation, powder, blush, so wouldn't need to buy more!
On makeupgeek.com/index, there's a project 10 pan support thread and I posted regularly there and it helped tremendously! From January to March, I managed to finish 40 products (skincare, bodycare, perfume, makeup, haircare) which is such an incredible feat! A tip I love giving is save a big wide box and put in every product you've finished. If ever you feel down, just look at what you've finished that is in there and it quickly boosts you up! Good luck!
