I want to have a contest to celebrate hitting 50 subscribers... I get the general idea of the contest but what would be some great prizes any suggestions... and what do you prefer comment entries or video responses... and what is a good time frame to leave it open? thank you so much guys!

Well probably for your your first contest you should start small. Maybe some sally hansen nail products, E.L.F., and general drugstore make up. Usually comments are the best because then you don't really have to judge anything. It's usually a good idea to have a contest go from 2 weeks to a month. I hope this helps :)

I agree with Sarah, comments are probably best. As well, you will probably have a lot more entries with comments than with videos.

Definitely comments and perhaps ask participants to enter 1 time only, so you don't get spammed with tons of Enter Me comments. As for prizes, since it's for 50 subs, I would keep it small.

I agree with Jackee. You're going to get more subscribers with a contest and it will be kind of daunting to have to choose based on a flood of comments. If you theme the winnings as well I think that would be fun!

I'm a fan of the creative entry contests where you have to put some work into winning something. I watch some people's entries, and I think, "Man, this person must be so flattered all these people went to such lengths to get their attention!"
But since you're only at 50 subbies, it's better you do a question/answer kind of contest until you hit higher numbers. That's usually when creative-entry contests pay back with the most rewarding displays of viewership!

I just did my first contest for 100 and so far it's going way better than I ever expected! I did an ELF e-card because you pick the price, you don't have to pay shipping and you don't need anyones address to send it out. I also did comments because I figured I'd get more entries this way. Especially because I only have around 100 subs I wanted to make sure I got enough entries to make drawing actually exciting. I want to do a video response one for my 500 subscriber giveaway (it'll be a while haha)
