Self tanner, please help!

Okay, so I know that a lot of you girls out there use self tanners a lot. And this might seem like a silly question, but I honestly wanna know ;)

How do you apply the tanning lotion (or gel, or spray) on your back?

Obviously you could get someone to rub it on your back, but everyone can't have someone to help them, right?

And yes, I can reach my shoulders and the sides of my back and my lower back. But how do you get it on the part in the middle of your back that is like impossible to reach with the palm of your hand?

Or do you leave that area.. well, pale?

Please don't mock me, I'm really not trying to be silly. I just really wonder how you do it and I'd really appreciate it if you'd tell me :) Thanks!

You can always do the lotion/gel/mousse everywhere else if that's what you prefer, and just do a spray where you can't reach on your back... For me it was never really a problem and was able to reach from different angles (reach from over my shoulder, around my side, and from under my back LOL)... I mean, I'd look ridiculous but it'd work :)

Really? I can only reach some places with the tips of my fingers, and I would be totally scared that the tan would look uneven if I didn't use my entire hand, sort of... lol.

I guess the spray thing would work if you could be 100% sure that the two types of self tanner would give the same result...

I know that some self tanners come with a glove to put the product on. You could improvise and put a stick or something in the glove (same sort of idea as a back scratcher)? Then you could rub the product in where you can't reach? Never tried it but that's all that came to mind haha!
