I always tell myself I should get a better camera, but it's... not fact. I know of plenty of people with awesome HD cameras that don't get the views/subscribers. I was thinking about getting a camcorder with Christmas money but at only 361 subs, I don't know if it's worth it.

this is going to be repetitive, but I agree - good quality camera if possible, interesting/unique videos, short & sweet vids, interact with other youtubers. I think people forget the reason why they make youtube videos - it's for fun, not just for "gaining" subs. I'm perfectly happy with the amount I have. if I get more, that's even better - but I do videos because I love to and will share with anyone who want to see :)
