Hey all, having a crappy time finding a good editing software for my videos. I've tried quite a few, but I'm curious, what are your favorites?

I just use windows movie maker, comes free on windows as iMovie does on a MAC. but if you're looking to actually purchase some editing program, look into Cyberlink Power Director. Lots of cool effects an easy editing :p

Agree with Andrew. Windows Live Movie Maker works fine for me. Just stick with a software pre-downloaded onto the computer. It's simple to use and FREE. Just like iMovie with Apple computers. :)

thanks all...my problem is i've gone through like 5 editing softwares (including windows movie maker, adobe premier, and avs) and my videos in the preview section are always choppy and lagging no matter what quality setting i use. my computer is BRAND spankin new, so idk why this would happen, but it makes it virtually impossible to edit when the moving is lagging. i'm thinking about splurging and buying a mac.
mac users, do you prefer macbooks or more of a desktop computer?

I use imovie on my mac. It is relatively easy to use. I hope that helped.

Hey Lauren, The same thing happens to me when I use windows Movie Maker, At first it has the lagging pretty bad but If I let the computer sit for about 5-10 minutes The lagging goes away and I can edit the video just fine, Maybe It might be that you are trying to edit it right away and it might need a few minutes to get the video situated (hope I explained well) lol
