MUFE HD Powder - Does it cast with flash photog??

So today I was in Sephora looking for a different setting powder OTHER than MUFE as I am afraid to use it in my bff's wedding photos (don't want to photo bomb those!! lol). BUT the girl told me that it was the "best for flash photography"... I find so many mixed messages with this one. I own it and love it, but like I said, kind of afraid of that flash o.O

What are your experiences with it with flash photography, and what would be your FAVE alternative recommendation?

Thanks loves!

Never tried it myself but I'd suggest putting it on, and taking a couple flash photos of yourself in natural light, artificial light, and see what happens! Only way to know 100%

Applying too much could leave a white cast in flash photography.

This powder would not be my first choice. It can work for photography if you use just a little and really buff it in well, but it can flash back. Ben Nye translucent powder or RCMA no color powder are much better options, and are also much cheaper. And just FYI - the girls who work at Sephora are salespeople first and foremost, and the accuracy of what they tell you will vary greatly based on their backgrounds. Also, e.l.f. makes a powder virtually identical to the MUFE one, at a fraction of the price. While I don't love everything e.l.f. makes, in this one case it's a great dupe. But then, I don't adore the MUFE one either.

I'd suggest a powder that has no SPF, is mattifying and is your skin color, not white/translucent. I read on a blog somewhere that's the best for photos and by personal experience I would have to agree!

Mineral veil by bare minerals. its the best. plus its slightly skin toned too so it blends well into your face.

Unless you cake it on, there is no flashback. I use this professionally all the time. If you are getting flashback or a white cast, you are using too much.

I would NOT use MUFE..I applied some on myself used very little buffed it in really good. took some flash pics and BAM! my face looked as if I had a white mask on!! No GOOD! :(
I Have RCMA no color powder & love it. I trust this powder more. lol

Oh, one more thing...if you're still skeptical I would suggest you get translucent powder instead for her. At least for sure you won't bomb her pictures! LOL.

Not translucent! sorry my phone sucks. get a MATTE powder in her color. make sure no spf because spf may also cast white with flash.

Meant to say a translucent powder in her skin color or a MATTE powder.

I've tried the translucent powder, and no matter how little I use or how well I buff it in... There is still a slight white cast. But I do LOVE the SUPER MATTE LOOSE POWDER. It's easy to blend and helps make the skin look flawless. It also blends well with many skin tones, you don't have to have a perfect color match with this power. I always carry three shades with me for work and they work most skin tones and colors.

I have this powder and if taking pictures...do not use. I have used this product while attending an event and in some pics when flash is used it me look powder-y.

I am kinda on the fence when it comes to setting powders. I have the nars setting powder and it works wonders because my skin is naturally oily. In my opinion ALL setting powders give a white cast what I do to off set it is whenever I'm going out I always put ny makeup on first so my setting powder can soak into my skin and eventually the white cast will disapper. this will take an hr or more. also when I am out and I need to touch up I use blotting papers instead of more setting powder. I've heard that finishing spray helps take away the white cast.

Wow, ladies, thank you ALL so much for such great feedback!!
