Using foundation as under-eye concealer?

I don't use foundation so I thought it'd be best to ask for foundation-wearer's opinions on if this would work or not. I have hereditary dark under-eye circles and while I do have a few different kinds of concealers that work alright and don't cake up under my eyes, none of them provide the amount of coverage I'd like, I can still see my dark circles underneath. I have dry skin and I've heard that Revlon Colorstay has a good foundation for dry skin and a lot of shades to choose from, but does anyone think that using it as an under-eye concealer would actually work and completely cover my circles? Or are there any other full-coverage foundations I could try?

Foundations do not have as much coverage as a concealer however, we used revlon color stay to cover tattoos in school n it worked

Typically foundations have less concealing power than concealers. Have you tried collection 2000's concealer? It has pretty good coverage for a liquid concealer and it never looks cakey. In fact, when I put it on an area that looks cakey it usually balances it out.

And you might want to look into correctors too. Bobby brown and skinfood's corrector are good (they work basically the same)

Foundations won't give you the coverage you are looking for. Concealers are much thicker and more pigmented so if those aren't working a foundation won't either. I would make sure to moisturize before you do your makeup to give your skin a little extra hydration. I would also look into correctors. If you are struggling with dark circles look for a concealer or corrector that is salmon/pinky in tone. This will help cancel out some of the darkness. Eve Pearl makes a salmon colored concealer and you can find some in concealer palettes like those offered through Coastal Scents and BH Cosmetics.

Thanks for the responses! As you can see, I know next to nothing about foundation, haha, I've only ever worn it a few times. :-P Guess I'll stick to concealers!
Also, since some you you mentioned correctors, what are some good ones for very fair, porcelain skin with pink undertones? I've tried a few, and I've looked into some of the ones that were mentioned above but they didn't come in shades light enough for my skin. I need something realllly light.

I'm super light (basically a ghost) and both of those work for me. You put the corrector on and then put concealer on top of it.

Also, Georgio Armani's is supposed to be really great but it's also 46 bucks, so there's that too.

Hard candy glamoflogue, dermablend, maybelline under eye corrector, and Mac Pro longwear are all full coverage concealers that will most likely cover it. In my opinion dermablend covers the most. It covers even my tattoos.
