Heat Protectants and Split Ends!

Hey guys! One of my friends told me that heat protectant can cause damage to your hair and is actually what causes split ends. She also told me bot to use it anymore. I thought that heat protectant was supposed to protect your hair? Should I keep using it? Thanks! XOXO:)

I think it's true, I used expres balsam with heat protector and I didn't have split ends. After it run out I used other balsam however without heat protector and my hair ends started to split :( So I'd recommend it to you :))

Heat protectant prevents split ends, it's the heat that causes them. Always use heat protectant, you may still get split ends but that's what regular trims are for. I recommend using pro naturals moroccan argan oil heat protector, I haven't had split ends with it yet.

Use tressema heat protection drys in seconds and does not cause split ends.
