I have really stubborn hair. I've never curled it before, but I want to try to do something fancy for Friday. My hair is stick straight and really hard to get curls to keep. Do y'all have any suggestions?

It depends on what sort of curls you want. For loose curls: ten seconds. Twenty seconds for tight curls. I still highly recommend Treseme 5 hairspray. I live by it!

Oh and the temperature varies as well. My hair is also very thick, so I also keep my setting at high.

Spray with hairspray before you use the wand, that'll help hold the curl as well.

I like to spray it with Spritz after and it leaves it smelling nice too.

Put gel or mousse in your hair while wet and blue dry,don't let dry naturally.
