I've seen lots of people recommending using lemon juice on the face, does it really help with scars and spots? why does it work - I thought it would burn the skin because lemon juice stings?

Lemon juice stings for a couple seconds but once you use it a couple times you're fine. I have really bad acne & ever since I've used leomon juice my face is so clear. Everyone notices. It's amazing. Wash your face & put it on 3-4 times a week & I go to sleep with it. (Don't use nice pillows) when you wake up rinse it off & watch your face with your normal face wash, I'd go for a natural face wash with less chemicals. Before putting on your makeup MAKE SURE you use a moisturizer or your face will become really dry. I use a oil free so my face doesn't get oily. It also has helped with my scars but time!

It helps some people, but if you're like me then if might not, but lemon juice more bleaches and causes sensitivity when in the sun.

It's an astringent. Removes oil n tightens pores. It will sting.
