How to elongate eyes?

I tried eyeshadow today and like three people asked if I was tired lol. how do I apply eyeshadow to elongate and make my eyes look bigger? my small shadow collection consists of:
-matte black
-shimmery dark brown
-bronze
-MAC Satin Taupe
-shimmery tan
-satin-y cream
-shimmery light yellow
-satin-y light pink (almost lavender)
