Ok here is a picture of a hairstyle that I really really want to do but I have no idea how because its like half curly half wavy and its very loose and kinda messy looking. I know if I were to do it, it would turn out too curly or something. If you could maybe give me a little advice on how to achieve this look I would appreciate it.. I know it's a dumb question but I really don't know how I would do it.

You could use a wand.

You need to curl your hair with a straightener. Then you should tousle it to make it more messy

I get waves like that with my curling wand. Just use big pieces of hair and keep it toward the larger end.

You can use a straightener & run big pieces of hair through it or with a curling wand & taking big chunks of hair wrapping it around the wand. Then after add some hairspray or serum & run your fingers through your hair for tousled waves. :)

Exactly what Ivonne B. said or shower before bed and put your hair in one semi loose braid and when you wake up take out the braid and just come it out with your fingers thats what I do and I get that look.
