My question is: Anyone who has toned/dyed their hair silver or white, what products did you use to Achieve your color? Did you have any special processes or routines? How often do you tone?
Thanks for any responses! 💖

My friend did a white/silver color. I think she got it done: bleach then the silver coloring.

'shimmer lights' purple toning shampoo, it's inexpensive and you can find it at Sally's. its actually made for brightening gray hair because it tones down brassiness. I know it works because I used it when I went platinum but it started to turn my hair white/gray because I used it everyday but if that's what you want then this would be a good choice :)

Oh my goodness! You HAVE to tell me how you did it! My hair is brown and I want a silver color. My friend had black hair and wanted to go blonde but her hair ended up falling out, therefore I'm a bit scared. What was your process?

That's what I'm thinking she did! How long did it take for the whole it to finally be the color you wanted?

I don't know why my phone put 'the whole' in there haha.

Be careful with your hair if you lighten it again... It'll break :( shimmer lights will only tone down the brass but not make it lighter. Once you go black it's really really hard to go back. Especially to platinum. I would honestly just wait and get it re bleached in a salon so they can keep an eye on it. That would be my recommendation as a cosmo :/

Make sure that if you're lightening that you use a decent treatment to try and maintain your hair quality. I'd suggest maybe every 4-6 weeks before you process your hair again to avoid any breakage.

I dyed my hair recently with Ion Color Brilliance permanent dye in Lightest Ash Blonde & that alone took my blue hair to almost white. Then I used Wella toner in lightest ash blonde on top of that. My hair is now a silver/grey hodgepodge & I love it. the ion dye should take the orange shade out quickly, then tone it & you should have absolutely lovely color.
