I have never found it to irritate and I have sensitive skin. I have held up an ice cube to zits that are the deep red ones and it has helped them to go down in size a little.

@stefani I had the same experience..my redness also decreased..and also I have read that it helps in closing pores!

I don't see how it's a bad thing. I've done it to close my pores and it's made the existing acne's inflammation go down for sure.
